What we collect, why, and on what basis
| When | Data | Purpose and legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Free preview | the website address or description you enter, IP address, browser details, traffic source (e.g. UTM parameters) | creating the preview you asked for, abuse prevention (rate limits), measuring our ads – Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR |
| Purchase and plan | name or business name, email, phone, address, tax ID, payment details (handled by Stripe; we never see full card numbers) | performing the contract and registering your domain – Art. 6(1)(b); invoicing and accounting – Art. 6(1)(c) |
| Your site content | materials you upload or that we take from your current website | building and hosting your site – Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Meta Pixel in the browser | cookie identifiers (_fbp, _fbc), pages visited, on-page events | measuring Facebook and Instagram ads – only with your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) |
| Meta server events (Conversions API) | the fact that a preview was created or a purchase was made, with IP address, browser details, _fbp/_fbc identifiers and – for purchases – hashed email and phone | measuring which ads bring customers and optimizing ad spend – our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) |
We send server events even if you declined the browser pixel, because they don't store cookies on your device. You can object at any time by writing to hello@pagetrio.com, and we will stop sending your events.
Who receives data
We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf:
- Stripe – payments and invoices,
- Supabase – database and file storage,
- Vercel – hosting of Pagetrio and customer sites,
- Anthropic – generating and editing site copy,
- OpenAI – generating images when you have none,
- Resend – sending email,
- Meta Platforms Ireland – pixel (with consent) and server events,
- domain registrar – registrant data required by the registry,
- our accountant – accounting records.
Some providers are based or store data outside the European Economic Area (mainly in the US). Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
- previews without a purchase – up to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner,
- customer data – for the duration of the contract and then until claims expire,
- accounting records – 5 years from the end of the relevant tax year,
- ad measurement data – until you withdraw consent or object, at most 2 years.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; ours is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) in Warsaw, Poland. We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects.
Cookies
- Essential – remembering your consent choice (pt_consent) and keeping your session in the dashboard and checkout. These work without consent.
- Meta advertising (_fbp, _fbc) – set only after you click “Accept”. Until then the pixel code isn't even downloaded.
You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Forms on customer sites
Data sent through a contact form on a site built with Pagetrio belongs to the owner of that site, who is its controller. We store and deliver it on their behalf. Questions about that data should go to the site owner.
